About I Be Black Girl:
I Be Black Girl (IBBG) is the first and only reproductive justice organization in Nebraska that leads with boldness, innovation and inspiration, actively creating a radical, change-making culture that centers Black women, femmes and girls. Inspired by the work of bell hooks, Alice Walker, Audre Lorde and other Black feminists and womanists, our organization provides transformational change at the intersections of gender and race.

About the BLAC Fund:
The BLAC Fund aims to support community-based organizations or projects in Nebraska that are led by and for Black women, femmes, and girls. Black women-led organizations receive some of the least investment and support from philanthropy. According to the Pocket Change report released by the Ms. Foundation in 2020, less than 1% of philanthropic giving reaches Black women, femmes, and girls. By regranting $1M to these organizations or projects, the BLAC Fund provides an opportunity for those closest to reproductive wellbeing work to build collective power, advance systemic change, and ensure equitable opportunities for their communities.
The BLAC Fund is prioritizing funding for:
- Organizations or projects that are Nebraska-based, meaning it must be located within Nebraska and provide services within the state;
- Organizations that are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit or have a fiscal sponsor;
- Have at least 85% of the leadership of the organization or project, as well as the program benefactors, that identify as Black women, femmes, or girls; and
- Organizations or projects that have an annual budget size of $3 million or smaller.
